How Do I Get My Child To MVCA?

Carpool Information

Many families share carpools to transport their children to and from MVCA. We make the process easy for you. All students not riding buses are dropped off and picked up in the large lot behind the elementary building. An orderly line circles around the lot so that the flow is maintained. All carpools are assigned a number.  At the close of the school day, parents simply pull into the carpool line and display their number. The children are then escorted to the cars. Simple and efficient!

High School Drivers

What about the high school students that have driver’s licenses and can drive to school? MVCA has procedures in place that protect the small children we have coming into and out of our buildings while also allowing qualified students to drive themselves (and often their siblings) to school. High school drivers must file a permission form complete with their parent signature and car information before they are allowed to drive to school. They must park in Founders Hall lot behind MVCA, not in the front parking lot. That way they are never driving or parking where small children are walking to or from school or where buses are dropping off students. High school drivers also may not leave the lot at the end of the school day until all buses have finished pick up and the carpool line is nearly empty.

Busing Information

Transportation may be available to MVCA from your local school district. Please contact the Transportation Department in your current school district to see if busing is available for your family. Each district has different busing policies, so check the individual district websites for the most current information. Busing is not available for preschoolers.
