Academics

At Miami Valley Christian Academy, we believe each student is “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14), uniquely designed to make a positive impact in our world. To cultivate student success, the faculty and staff at MVCA work diligently to provide a nurturing environment where students engage academically, grow spiritually, and thrive socially.

Our college preparatory curriculum engages learners of all ages. MVCA Lower School students explore the world in well-designed spaces where they begin to assimilate foundational skills in disciplines including mathematics, English, science, history, and the arts. MVCA Upper School students learn to think critically through the academic disciplines. Upper School students choose electives that fit their interests and can enroll in Advanced Placement (AP), Honors, and College Credit Plus courses. Our curriculum trains students well, allowing them to choose the colleges, military opportunities, and careers of their choice.

All our curriculum is taught through a biblical worldview. Our students grow spiritually and deepen their faith as they are encouraged to ask questions and think deeply about what it means to impact the world for Christ. Biblical integration in each classroom, weekly chapel events, discipleship classes, and teachers invested in the spiritual development of our students create an atmosphere where our learners feel loved, supported, and safe asking questions. We value the partnership that exists amongst the school, parents, and churches to aid in the spiritual development of our kids and teens.

No educational program is complete without a focus on the social and emotional health of students. In addition to helping our students achieve academically and grow spiritually, we believe in equipping students with opportunities, resources, and strategies to thrive socially and emotionally. All our students engage in service-learning experiences that allow them to see the world from different perspectives. We offer student support services for learners who need additional support academically, realizing the connection between student confidence within the classroom and emotional wellbeing. Our students build relationships with trusted faculty who help guide them using the truth of Scripture and its power in our lives.
