Spiritual Life

Spiritual Life at MVCA extends to every activity that takes place on campus and advances outside of our walls into our community and world.  MVCA exists to cultivate the spiritual formation of our students by integrating the Bible in the classroom daily, weekly chapel services, service opportunities, mission trips, participating in the Arts and Athletics with Christian role models as our coaches/leaders, and creating intentional opportunities for students to grow in their relationship with Jesus.  Our goal is that students grow just like Jesus did in Luke 2:52, “…in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”

At MVCA our students participate daily in morning devotionals that are connected to our monthly and yearly spiritual themes, engage daily in discipleship classes that teach Biblical knowledge and application, participate weekly in chapels that allow for worship, Biblical messages, and time for reflection, and are engaged throughout the year with many opportunities to see and participate with what God is doing off campus in our city and world. Through all these activities our prayer is that God is creating the soil in the hearts of our students that Jesus refers to in Luke 8 that will, “return a crop that is 100x more than was sown”, and that our students will have a God-sized impact on the world.
