Dear MVCA Family,

As always, we strive to protect the health and well-being of our students, staff, and families. Within the past 24 hours, a small group of high school students has tested positive for COVID-19. We have identified all students and teachers considered “close contacts” with the students that have tested positive and have notified them and their families.

Out of an abundance of caution and as a precautionary health measure;

·       MVCA (K-12th grade) will be CLOSED Thursday, October 8th & Friday, October 9th.

·       Little Lions Preschool will remain OPEN as those students and staff are located in a separate building.

As a reminder, we need your help to keep our Academy open and our students and staff healthy.

·       If your child is not feeling well, please keep them at home.

·       If your child has a pending COVID-19 test (or other infectious disease test) they may not be on campus until they receive the results of that test.

·       Students, faculty, staff, parents, and on-campus volunteers that have or have had symptoms of illness within 24 hours, or have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19, are asked to stay at home, notify MVCA, and consult their Primary Care Physician for medical advice.

·       Students will not be penalized for missing school and plans have been developed for educating students who must attend remotely.

While this closure is unfortunate, the health and safety of our students, teachers, and staff are always at the forefront of these types of decisions. Should your child become ill, please notify the Academy at info@mvca-oh.com

We appreciate your continued assistance, cooperation, and prayers as we navigate the health of our students and staff.

Sincerely,
MVCA Administration and Health Advisory Teams

Please note the following:

·       Athletics and all extra-curricular activities and events– will be canceled through the weekend.

·       Pre-purchased Lunches– will be credited to your EZ School Lunch Account.

·       Remote Learning Options– we have a few families that are enrolled as full-time remote learners. Additionally, we have plans in place for students that are required to quarantine. Should you decide that you would like to move your child to remote learning for next week, please notify the Academy at info@mvca-oh.com by Friday, October 9th. Current in-person learning students that voluntarily choose to attend class as remote learning students, may participate in remote learning on a week-by-week basis. Your decision to move to remote learning must be made and communicated in writing by the Friday prior to the week the student would like to attend class remotely and that student will then be committed to remote learning for that week.
